Angela Merkel wins in Germany
German Chancellor Angela Merkel won third term in the country’s federal
elections Sunday, but her center-right Christian Democratic Union appeared to
be just short of winning an absolute majority in the German parliament.Partial
election results found the Christian Democratic Union winning about 42 percent
of the vote. Their main opposition, the center-left Social Democrats, won an
estimated 26 percent; the Greens and the Left Party received about 8.5 percent
each.

Henrik Stenson hung on to win the Tour Championship at East Country Club on Sunday. The 37-year-old Swede shot a2-under 68 and with it earned a $11.44 million paycheck.Stenson is the first European to win the Tour Championship.
