Prayers resumed at Kedarnath Temple

Prayers resumed at Kedarnath after 86 days of ravaging floods which left over 1000 people dead in the Kedar valley. Chief priest of the 6th century shrine, Rawal Bhima Shankar Ling Shivacharya, unlocked the portals of the temple and stepped into the sanctum-sanctorum to perform the puja.

Korea-North and South agree to open Kaesong Zone

North and South Korea agreed on Wednesday to reopen their Kaesong joint industrial park next week, five months after it was shut during soaring military tensions. Kaesong was established in 2004 as a rare symbol of inter-Korean cooperation.

Three space-station crew members land after 166-day's mission

Station commander Pavel Vinogradov, NASA astronaut Christopher Cassidy and 
Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin bid their crewmates good-bye and climbed aboard their Russian Soyuz capsule to prepare for a 3.5-hour flight back to Earth after 166 days in orbit.

 Afganistan won SAFF Championship

India lost to Afganistan by 0-2 in the final of SAFF football championship 2013. This was Afganistan's first international football title.
