Educational and Professional qualifications:

 (i)A pass in Higher Secondary or its equivalent with 50 % marks in aggregate
 (ii)Diploma in Teacher Education or Certificate in Basic Teacher’s Training of a duration of not less than 2 years
 (iii)Should have studied the particular Regional language (Tamil / Malayalam / Telugu) as one of the subjects upto Secondary level.
                      AND
Teacher Eligibility Test : Should have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by CBSE (CTET) / Govt. of Tamil Nadu (TNTET) / Govt. of Kerala (Kerala TET) / Govt. of Andhra Pradesh (AP TET).
